Lisa Welko and Shana Conradt founded ellipse Fitness in Appleton, Wisconsin in 2002. Tired of the typical gym experience surrounded by weights and machines, Lisa and Shana wanted to create a fitness concept that specialized in personal attention and achieved results. Their vision culminated with the creation of Ellipse Fitness, a class only program focusing on exercise and nutrition counseling. In 2004 Ellipse opened their second location. As their model achieved success, Lisa and Shana decided to grow their business as a franchise. In January 2007 the first franchise location opened in WI. Ellipse now has seven locations in the Midwest and is ready for further expansion. Lisa and Shana are true innovators to the fitness industry. Their passion, energy and desire to help others is the key to their success and the continued success for the Ellipse Fitness brand.
